Kiana has close to 10 years of experience working at an early childhood program in Salt Lake City, Utah. That program was based on the Reggio Emilia teaching philosophy that incorporated Montessori ideas while also promoting the importance of play and its role in the early processes of learning. The majority of Kiana’s time was spent working with the 2-4 age-group, but she also gained experience as a Center Director for a few years. After teaching, Kiana was employed by Child Care Resource and Referral for almost 3 years, where she worked as a Teacher Trainer. She visited numerous preschools and daycares and provided training and classes for the staff on a variety of early childhood topics.
Kiana has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Utah, where she attended on a softball scholarship. She is a happily married mom of 4 and has loved living in Morgan Hill since moving here in 2012.
This will be Kiana's 3rd year working at the Morgan Hill Recreation Preschool and she has loved being a part of this program!
Amber graduated from CSU, Chico with a BA in Child Development. Prior to joining the team here, she taught Preschool aged children from Infants to Kinder, as well as ran a licensed home daycare. Most recently she was a lead Two's Teacher.
Amber’s philosophy in teaching is that all children thrive with positive support, encouragement, and consistent structure from adults within their lives and communities. She enjoys the curiosity in young children and takes pride in the fact that she is supporting their growth in their early years.
In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, spending time with her husband of 18 years, and watching her 3 boys, Blake, Aiden, and Samuel play sports. This is Amber’s 2nd year with our program and she can't wait to meet you and grow with your child.
