The City of Morgan Hill is currently accepting applications from local non-profit organizations that host community-wide events. The funding requested is meant to offset the cost of city services required by the special event permit for the community event. Events such as the Freedom Fest, the Holiday Lights Parade, and Safe Trick or Treat have been some of the many recipients that have been able to run a more successful event because of this program.
Per the application, the organization requesting the funds must meet criteria to be considered for the funding such as “the event hosted must be a community-wide event, open to all, with noassociated admission fee”. Furthermore, the event hosted cannot be a fundraising event and the event requires a special event permit and city services. The City will be taking applications through Friday, April 20, 2018.
