Submit to Building Division:
- 6 sets of plans (2 stamped and signed)
- 2 sets of energy calculations (Title
24)
- 2 sets of structural calculations
- 2 geotechnical reports (if applicable)
- 1 original signed Hazardous Materials
Disclosure form
- 1 sampling report for hazardous material(s)
impact (if applicable)
A set of plans will be routed by the Building Division to
the Planning Division, Public Works Department, Santa Clara
County Fire/Hazardous Materials Specialist, and the Pretreatment
Department, as required. All plans and calculations shall
have each sheet signed by the designer, architect, or engineer.
Plans in which retaining walls, hillside foundations, and
pole or beam type construction are used must be accompanied
by calculations of a licensed engineer or architect.
Santa Clara County Health Department approval is required
for retail food stores, fruit stands, meat markets, bakeries,
and all restaurants, commercial swimming pools, and pet stores.

The applicant must fill out a building permit application
and pay a plan check fee at the time of submission.
