Residential Decks and Patios

Submit to Building Division:

• 3 sets of plans

Decks - Permits are required for decks that are 30 inches above the ground or are over 120 square feet in area.

Patios - Permits are required for patios covers that are over 120 square feet attached to the house.

Plans are required for patio covers and most permits may be issued over the counter; however, larger patio covers may be required to be reviewed by other departments.

Residential Fences

Permits are required for fences over six feet in height.
