Do You Need More Recycling Containers?
As a part of basic garbage service, each residence is issued three recycling collection containers, one for mixed paper, one for plastic, glass and metal, and one for yard trimmings. If you have more recycling than will fit into these containers, you can get extra containers at no extra charge. Additional containers can be ordered from South Valley Disposal & Recycling at 842-3358.
Container Sizes?
We offer a variety of container sizes for your recyclables. For Yard Trimmings, we offer a green, wheeled, covered cart in either a 32 or 96-gallon size. Container choices for other recyclables are: a small, open-topped bin which holds 18 gallons, a 32-gallon wheeled, covered cart, or a 64-gallon wheeled, covered cart. You may have as many containers as you reasonably need to handle your recycling.
For your paper recycling storage inside the home, we offer deskside paper recycling boxes. These fashionable boxes are just the thing for your home office, your mail sorting area, or anywhere else you recycle. Deskside recycling boxes may be picked up at City Hall, 17555 Peak Avenue, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. They are also available at BookSmart, 17415 Monterey Road (778-6467).
