City Elections
The City of Morgan Hill uses the services of the County
of Santa Clara Registrar of Voters' Office to consolidate
local elections. This results in a significant cost savings
to the citizens of Morgan Hill. Regular elections are held
in the City of Morgan Hill on the first Tuesday after the
first Monday in November of even-numbered years. Special
elections may be called by the City Council and are held
on dates as set forth in the California Elections Code.
In Morgan Hill, the Mayor is directly elected to serve
a two-year term. Council members are elected to serve four-year
terms. The City Clerk and the City Treasurer are elected
to serve four-year terms.
The City's Election Official is the Council Services and
Records Manager. Information relating to City elections,
campaign disclosure, and economic interest are available
in the City Clerk's Office located at City Hall at 17555
Peak Avenue, phone (408) 779-7259.
