The Business Assistance and Housing Services (BAHS) Department is comprised of two divisions, Economic Development and Housing Services. The BAHS staff are committed to working with you to meet your business and housing needs. Along with the services provided, BAHS implements the projects and programs supported by the Morgan Hill Redevelopment Agency (Agency).
Economic Development
The Business Assistance division conducts economic development and redevelopment activities for the City and the Redevelopment Agency. These activities include:
- Conducting business attraction, expansion, and retention activities
- Providing general business assistance to persons and companies interested in locating a business in Morgan Hill
- Providing information such as demographic and economic data, and information on existing businesses
- Acting as ombudsman for businesses in their interactions with City departments
- Offering business startup counseling and referrals
- Providing site selection and development processing assistance to companies
- Administering the business assistance programs
Housing Services
The Housing Services division is responsible for creating and preserving affordable housing in the community. This division administers the following City's housing programs:
- The Below Market Rate Home Ownership Program (for first-time homebuyers)
- The Below Market Rate Home Rental Program
- The Senior/ Mobilehome Minor Home Repair Grant Programs
- The Housing Rehabilitation Program
