Budget Reduction Strategy Adopted

At its January 14 and 28, 2009 meetings, the Morgan Hill City Council adopted $2.1 million of annual budget reductions, beginning in FY 2009/10. 

The community is encouraged to review a summary of these options and adopted reductions.

The Council will continue to evaluate further recommended reductions during the FY 2009/10 budget process.  These options include:

-          City Clerk’s Office positions

-          Police Department positions

-          Public Works positions

-          Street Lights

The FY 2009/10 budget process was adopted by the City Council on January 28, 2009 and dates of process, public input and adoption can be found in the staff report.
