Animal Services

Our Animal Services Unit is able to assist or answer questions regarding the safety of animals within City of Morgan Hill limits.

Animal Services can also provide support for animals within city limits in the following situations:

  • Seriously ill or injured stray animals that are in need of emergency medical care.
  • Pets that are lost or have been found.
  • Responding to reports of animal neglect and abuse.
  • Tracking potentially dangerous animals.

Additionally, the State of California mandates that we ensure all dogs are licensed and have current rabies vaccinations.  Cat licensing is also available but not mandatory.  Dog and cat licensing information can be reviewed in our Pet Licensing Requirements section.
