Project Description: 

This is a request for a Conditional Use Permit to continue the use of the existing Vila Monte Senior Care Facility and expand services into a new 8,171 square-foot multi-story building consisting of 48 bedrooms (96-beds) with ancillary communal space. If the use permit is approved, the application will require an administrative Design Permit for the new building with a parking lot and required onsite improvements. The project is located on the northeast corner of West Dunne Avenue and Peak Avenue.

Planning Commission Hearing 

The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on June 26, 2022, and continued the item to a Date Uncertain. A public hearing notice will be sent out before the item is brought back to the Planning Commission.

The project qualifies for CEQA Guidelines Section 15332 (In-Fill Development Project) exemption.  None of the exceptions to categorical exemptions identified by CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 are applicable to the proposed project.
