  • 15 multi-family garage sale participants
  • 262 coats collected
  • 287 eyeglasses collected
  • 20 bikes collected

Second Chance Week Black & White Graphic 5In recognition of the many benefits of reuse, Morgan Hill, South County, and Gilroy hold their annual "Second Chance Week" each September.

With the goal of putting more used stuff back into circulation and keeping materials out of the landfill, "Second Chance Week" features a diverse range of innovative Reuse, Resale, and Repair activities. Events include:

  • The popular South County Garage Sale
  • Universal Waste Awareness Day
  • Trash Nothing Day
  • Donate Coats for Kids and Adults Day
  • 2nd Sight Day - donate used eyeglasses
  • Recycle Your Cycle Day - donate unwanted bikes for reuse
