Induction Cooktop Loaner Program

  1. Thinking about switching to electric? Curious about how induction stovetops work?

Induction cooking uses electromagnets to directly heat up its surface. Electromagnetism results in quicker heating, safer cooking surfaces, more control on cooking temperatures, and reduced amounts of indoor air pollution.

This loaner program is open to City of Morgan Hill residents ONLY. Residents may rent out an induction stovetop for up to 2 weeks. You can pick up your induction cooktop at 660 W Main Ave., Morgan Hill, CA 95037 once you receive a confirmation email from ClimateActionPlan@morganhill.ca.gov.

For more information about induction cooking and our program, visit the City of Morgan Hill's Induction Cooktop Loaner Program page.

  4. How to Use Your Own Cookware with Induction Cooktops
    induction compatible icon

Induction cooktops are compatible with ferromagnetic metal pots and pans.

If you want to use your own cookware on the induction cooktop, please look for the induction icon above to determine whether your cookware is induction compatible.

If you are unable to locate this icon, place the provided magnet on the bottom of your cookware. If the magnet sticks, you can use your cookware on the induction cooktop. If it does not stick, do NOT use your cookware on the induction cooktop.
