Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR)
The Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) (PDF) responds to comments (FEIR Appendix A Numbered Letters (PDF)) received on the Draft Environmental Impact Report (Draft EIR) for the Morgan Hill 2035 Project. The FEIR includes revisions to the Draft EIR as necessary in response to these comments. Revisions to the proposed General Plan and Residential Development Control System (RDCS) made in response to these comments were considered by the Morgan Hill City Council as part of the adoption of the General Plan and RDCS. None of these revisions resulted in significant changes to the Project Description or findings of the Draft EIR that would have triggered the need to recirculate the Draft EIR.
This document (PDF), together with the Draft EIR (PDF), constitute the Final EIR. On July 27, 2016, the Morgan Hill City Council adopted Resolution No. 16-127 (PDF), certifying the Final EIR for the Morgan Hill 2035 General Plan and Residential Development Control System (RDCS) as consistent with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and adopting a Statement of Overriding Considerations regarding environmental impacts and a related Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program (MMRP).
Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR)
The Morgan Hill 2035 Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) analyzes the potential environmental impacts of the General Plan Update and Residential Development Control System Update.
Members of the public were invited to provide comments in writing on the scope and content of the DEIR. Due to the time limits mandated by State law, responses must be sent at the earliest possible date, but no later than the close of the 60-day DEIR review period, which ended on March 14, 2016. Copies of comments submitted in writing are provided below.
A Planning Commission public hearing on the DEIR was held on February 23, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers (17555 Peak Avenue) to receive oral and written testimony on the DEIR.
