Transportation Master Plan & Comprehensive Safety Action Plan

The City has recently completed its first comprehensive Transportation Master Plan (TMP). The Plan includes components, including traffic counts, future traffic modeling, updated speed survey to set speed limits, review of existing transportation infrastructure, specific review and analysis of bike and pedestrian infrastructure, transportation priorities for the City, and numerous other components. The Plan also provides the foundation for the update of the City’s General Plan Transportation/Circulation Element Update.

Comprehensive Safety Action Plan

The City recently received a grant to develop a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan for our roadways in these areas. The plan will specifically build on the TMP and create even more detailed plans near our schools and identified higher injury roadways. The plan will support the City in planning and is a prerequisite for future federal grant funding from the Safe Streets for All Program. For question about the process, please email chris.ghione@morganhill.ca.gov.
